Trail searched in Rose Valley in West Kelowna Wednesday
The sound of a bike crashing, and a man's cries for help, kicked off an extensive search Wednesday afternoon in Rose Valley in West Kelowna.
Police were called to the Purple Hiking Trail at around 12:20 pm, where a man and a woman reported hearing the sounds – but after a search involving RCMP Air Services and Central Okanagan Search and Rescue – no injured cyclist was found.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance also attended.
RCMP Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says the person may have left the area under their own strength – but they'd like to know if he's okay – so anyone with information is asked to call police.
