Temperatures expected to remain below normal into next week
Kelowna could be seeing a mix of sun and showers over the weekend.
Saturday is expected to be sunny, with temperatures in the mid-twenties, while a weather system coming on Sunday could bring some thick clouds and rainfall later in the day.
Lately we’ve been seeing some cooler weather in the city, and Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa Erven says that’s expected to continue into next week.
“Normal temperatures for this time of year are actually in that sort of low-twenties range,” says Erven. “We are going to dip down to see temperatures below normal, at least through Monday and Tuesday before we start to see things creep back up more towards the end of next week.”
In the meantime, the upper elevations are expected to get some of that rainfall, which means drivers could see rain coming down on the highways.
