Advisory upgraded as water quality worsens
Boil water advisories for the Sunnyside and West Kelowna Estates water utilities have been upgraded to mandatory notices.
The city says above normal turbidity is interfering with the water treatment process, and that customers should bring water to a rolling boil for at least a minute before consuming.
Those two water systems join Pritchard under a boil water notice, while the Lakeview system is still under an advisory.
The city estimates that those four systems service about 7000 homes.
A bulk water station is set up at Asquith and Shannon Lake Road – the water is provided, the containers are not.
