Two children uninjured after sedan hits woman
Police are looking for a driver involved in a hit and run in Rutland Tuesday morning.
Just before 9 am, the RCMP was called to Gerstmar Road and Elwyn Road, after a car hit a woman who was pushing a stroller.
Officers say she was walking north on Gerstmar, when a car driving on Elwyn did not stop for her in the intersection.
Fortunately, she was able to push the stroller out of the way before being hit by the sedan, leaving the three and five year old children unhurt.
The crash knocked her through the air and onto the pavement, leading to multiple injuries.
The blue 4-door also didn't stop – it kept driving east on Elwyn.
Police say this car likely has damage on its left front passenger side.
Investigators are looking for dashcam or surveillance camera footage from nearby homes.
