Boil Water Advisory in Pritchard Water System still in effect
Several water quality notices in the Central Okanagan have been updated.
Boil Water Notices for the District of Peachland and the Lakeview Water System in West Kelowna have been lifted, after water turbidity levels dropped below 1.0 and water quality were rated as “good.”
Meanwhile, Boil Water Notices for the Sunnyside and West Kelowna Estates Systems have been downgraded to Water Quality Advisories.
The Pritchard Water System is still under a boil water notice, meaning residents should boil water for at least one minute before using water to drink, wash food, or brush their teeth.
A Water Quality Advisory means that children, seniors, and people with weak immune systems should boil water before consumption.
West Kelowna and Westbank First Nation residents can access water filling stations at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads while the advisories remain in effect.
