Unsolved crimes for the week

Thefts, frauds, and breakins over the last week

Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers has released a list of unsolved crimes in the region for the week.

In Kelowna:

-On Tuesday, June 12th, a woman forgot her wallet at a downtown business. After returning to get it back, she discovered that it was missing, and several charges had been made to her debit and credit cards. The thief had also tried to create a Paypal account with the woman’s banking information. RCMP got the following photo from one of the convenience stores where the cards were used.

-After failing to steal a truck on Muir Road near Highway 33 on Wednesday, June 13th, thieves took several Makita brand tools, each with the initials “RK” marked on them, from the vehicle. The tools included a job site radio, a soft carry bag containing a battery charger, two drills, and a reciprocating saw.

In West Kelowna:

-A garage door left open overnight on Crestview Road in West Kelowna led to several items being stolen on Friday, June 8th. A white 2017 Ford Explorer, a black and white Devinci Django mountain bike, a silver MacBook Air laptop, and a purse containing credit cards were all taken. The thieves, a man and a woman, made several stops using the credit cards throughout the Central Okanagan.

– A business owner on Kyle Court in West Kelowna called police this past Saturday, June 9th, after finding that the chain link fence around his property had been cut. After breaking into the building, the suspect took several tools. The suspect has been described as a 5 foot 10 man with a blonde beard, likely in his thirties. He was seen wearing a leather jacket with baggy blue jeans.
