Dog Walk for Diabetes this Thursday

11 million Canadians affected by some form of diabetes

The Diabetes Canada Clothesline Program is partnering with the Spotted Spa Resort and Doggytopia to host a "Dog Walk for Diabetes" at 10 AM on Thursday, June 28th.

Participants are asked to bring a garbage bag sized donation of gently used clothing or other houshold items to the Program's Kelowna office at 102-1054 Ellis Street before the dog walk begins.

The first 20 participants to bring a donation will be given a doggy treat bag, while participants who bring more than one donation will get an extra raffle ticket for a prize draw after the walk.

Over 11 million Canadians are currently living with some form of diabetes, with the majority being seniors. Each year, over $5 million goes towards diabetes research due to the Clothesline Program.
