Any fire bigger than a typical campfire is prohibited
This Canada Day weekend, Kelowna residents are reminded that there are fire restrictions in effect.
Any fire bigger than a typical campfire (half meter long, half meter high) is banned, as part of the effort to prevent man-made forest fires throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.
This does not apply to gas, propane, or briquettes stoves.
The restrictions are in effect until October 15th, 2018, unless the public is told otherwise.
For more information on the restrictions, go to www.gov.bc.ca.
