Ride Dont Hide bikers raise funding for CMHC
The Canadian Mental Health Association's Kelowna chapter is reporting a successful weekend.
The CMHC's Ride Don't Hide biking fundraiser raised $130,000 on Sunday – a record total for the event.
Riders signed up to cycle either a 6.5, 20, or 60 km route, with further donations from the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation.
Budd is a Kelowna man who's become an advocate for mental health, after losing his sons Payton and Dillon to suicide.
Donations are still being accepted online – with all money supporting local mental health programming.
Next year's ride has already been scheduled for June 23, 2019.
