Will be set up in its original location from Waterfront to Kerry Park
The Celebrate Canada Day festival is back this Sunday, with the theme being “what’s old is new again.”
This means that the event will be set up in its original location from Waterfront to Kerry Park, and there will be plenty of new and returning activities for the whole family to enjoy.
This includes demos by the Kelowna Dog Agility Club, the Team X-treme Strongman Show, and several games like giant Jenga and foot darts.
There will also be several performances on the various stages at the festival, as well as the Kelowna City Concert Band Canada Day Concert at Prospera Place.
Last but certainly not least, the fireworks will be returning, one year after they were postponed to August due to flooding.
“At 10:30 PM, they’ll be shooting off from the Tolko Barge over Lake Okanagan,” says Festivals Kelowna Director Renata Mills. “You can grab a spot anywhere along the lakefront and catch a great glimpse of the Canada Day fireworks.
The Celebrate Canada Day festival goes from 11 AM to 11 PM, and transit buses will be available in the area for the first half-hour after the festival ends.
