West Kelowna vets save dogs from deadly virus

11 dogs a mother and 10 puppies now looking for new homes

The staff at the Rose Valley Veterinary Clinic in West Kelowna worked a miracle in the last week saving a labrador and her 10 puppies.

The clinic's Dr. Moshe Oz says the dogs arrived on their doorstep, about a week ago, all suffering from highly infectious canine parvo-virus.

“We put them on fluids and constant care for literally 24/7 with medication, and lots and lots of love,” says Dr. Oz. “And after a week we were able to save the mom and the whole 10 puppies.”

Oz says they were contacted by a Kelowna pet rescue organization last Monday asking for help in taking care of the 11 animals.

He says they're now trying to find homes for the dogs – and if you can help – contact the Rose Valley Vet Clinic.
