Summerlike temps rest of the week
This week is perfect for getting out and enjoying the Okanagan.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Matt MacDonald says "It's looking like nothing but sun, sun and more sun. The beginning of September had a rough start – we saw wet snow over the higher elevations – lots of cool, wet conditions – but I would say summer is making a brief return here for the first week of fall with highs near 20 and overnight lows of 6 or 7 – so that's a few degrees warmer than normal."
MacDonald says it's been 1.5 degrees cooler than normal this month – but with warmer weather this week – he expects September will probably finish 2-degrees above seasonal.
He also says Kelowna has seen about 29 mm of rain this month – just 2 mm shy of the normal amount.
