Another cloudy wintertime expected
While it may be cloudy now, we've got a few more weeks of periodic sunshine here in the Okanagan before the usual wintertime overcast blocks out the sky.
Environment Canada meteorologist Doug Lundquist says we'll start to see this begin sometime early October.
“That’s the start of the low-cloud season,” says Lundquist. “By the time we get to mid-November, we’re pretty much locked in, and for sure in December and January, while November and February are a bit of a transition.”
Lundquist didn’t rule out the possibility of temperatures reaching the 25-degree mark sometime later this month, although he called it ‘a stretch,’ and said there’s no chance of 30+ degree weather anymore this year.
Looking ahead to this weekend, showers are expected until Saturday evening or Sunday morning, and temperatures are looking to heat back up to the low-twenties by mid-next-week.
