Allegedly attacked a woman in downtown Kelowna earlier this month
Kelowna RCMP have released a composite sketch of a suspect involved in an alleged assault on a woman from earlier this month.
During the late hours of Friday, October 12th, a woman was chased and tackled by a man on a skateboard in the area of Elliot Avenue and Richter Street. The suspect then tried to drag her onto a residential property, but she managed to get away and jump into the car of a driver that she flagged down.
“Since the incident, a specially trained forensic artist travelled to the BC interior to meet personally with the victim at the Kelowna RCMP Detachment,” says RCMP Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. “Working with our witness in a cognitive interview setting, the artist created a composite sketch of the assault suspect.”
The suspect is described as part Caucasian and part Fillipino, in his early twenties, with shoulder-length brown hair. He was seen wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
His skateboard was taken from the scene by investigators, and it remains a key part of the investigation.
