87 year old Fraser Valley man dies
One man was killed, and another hospitalized, after a head-on crash in Lake Country Sunday morning. RCMP say it happened at around 7:30 am on Highway 97 south of Oceola Road.
A witness says a southbound Chevy Impala crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a northbound Chrysler 300 from Alberta. The 87-year-old driver of the Impala, from the Upper Fraser Valley, died on the way to hospital. The 52-year-old driver of the Chrysler, from Central Alberta, suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP and the Coroners Service say they're looking into whether the 87-year-old man may have suffered a medical emergency that could have contributed to the crash.
