Kelowna woman could be charged
A Kelowna woman could be charged with impaired driving after she allegedly sheared off a traffic lamp standard and caused a three vehicle collision on Friday afternoon. It happened at the intersection of Summit Drive and Glenmore Road.
When police arrived, a grey Infinity SUV was high centred on the cement median. Preliminary findings suggest that the SUV driver was travelling over the posted speed limit prior to colliding with a GMC SUV and a Honda Civic.
During police questioning, an officer detected signs of suspected alcohol consumption. The woman failed a roadside breath test. She was taken to the RCMP detachment where she provided further breath samples. She was more than three times the legal limit.
