Rotating strikes also returning to Vancouver and Kamloops
Rotating Canada Post strikes have started up in several more BC communities.
This includes Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, Golden, Creston, Grand Forks, Kimberly, Kitmat, Powell River, Prince Rupert, Smithers, and Terrace. The strikes have also returned to Vancouver and Kamloops.
Customers in these areas will not be receiving mail while the strikes are happening.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers began rotating strikes on October 22nd, in an effort to get higher wages and job security for the 64,000 Canada Post workers across the country.
After little progress was made with a federally-appointed mediator at the bargaining table, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has warned that the government could get involved in the labour dispute soon.
