New deadline is December 7th
Rotating postal strikes have affected the electoral reform vote in BC.
The deadline to submit voting packages for the referendum on proportional representation is now December 7th.
BC's Chief Electoral Officer says the extension, beyond November 30th, is needed to ensure voters are not prevented from participating through "no fault of their own."
If you still haven't received a voting package – the deadline to request one remains midnight tonight (Nov 23).
