Canucks 5050 draw
A West Kelowna man has cashed in after winning the Vancouver Canucks 50/50 draw this week. Gordon Schimpf bought his ticket online and won $706-thousand-815 dollars.
The raffle, at Tuesday's Canucks-Kings game, raised almost $1-million-414-thousand dollars. It's believed to be a world record for 50-50 draws.
The other half of the money goes to the Canucks Autism Network, the Canuck Place Children's Hospice and the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
