Smoke alarm helped alert residents
A recently installed smoke detector helped everyone get out of a burning house in Lakeview Heights early Thursday morning.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue says the blaze was contained to a single room – and the cause is believed to be accidental.
Crews were called to the home at around 3:45 am.
There are no reports of any injuries.
