New Starbucks

Council issued a development permit for a Starbucks restaurant and drive-through, where there is currently a Taco Time restaurant on Highway 97N. The Starbucks will have access from both Highway 97N and Leckie Road.

McCurdy multi-family

Council issued a development permit for a proposed four-storey apartment building at the corner of Rutland Road and McCurdy Road, containing 49 supportive housing units. The social housing will be run by non-profit housing provider approved by BC Housing.

Traffic bylaw updates

Council gave first three readings to amending several sections of the traffic bylaw, including allowing kick scooters, skateboards and longboards to use sidewalks, bike lanes and shared-use paths.
