Fugitive arrested by police in West Kelowna
A man with a history of fleeing police has been arrested.
Thirty two year-old Dayton Lloyd McAlpine was taken into custody Tuesday by plain clothed officers outside a residence along Douglas Road in West Kelowna.
The RCMP had been searching for McAlpine since June 1st after he used his pickup truck to ram two police cars in the Walmart parking lot in an attempt to escape.
McAlpine will remain in police custody and is expected to appear in court June 18th.
Tips from the public were instrumental in his capture.
