Boil Water Notice Rescinded for Lakeview System

Boil Water Notice in the Lakeview System rescinded effective immediately

The City of West Kelowna, in cooperation with Interior Health, has rescinded the Boil Water Notice in the Lakeview System, effective immediately.

The Boil Water Notice was required December 17 after an accidental line break at a non-municipal construction site caused a chain reaction that ultimately caused damage to the chlorination system at Rose Valley Reservoir. Once crews repaired the damage, the city was required to conduct comprehensive tests throughout the system to confirm that chlorinated water was again flowing throughout the distribution network.

The City thanks users for their patience while our Utility Crews worked diligently to return the system to normal operations as quickly as possible.

With quality being good in all City of West Kelowna water systems, free access is no longer available at the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads. Residents who wish to access the station, for a fee, can apply to the City for an account and access code by emailing [email protected] or calling 778-797-8850. The station receives water via the Powers Creek Water Treatment Plant.
