It's been echoed by top health officials around the world just how important testing is in the fight against COVID-19 and Interior Health has set up drive-thru testing in Kelowna to better protect healthcare workers.
At the Urgent and Primary Care Centre, patients can drive up, call the nurses' phone, and be tested without having the leave their vehicle.
The testing is by appointment and only for those who have been referred by 811 or their family doctor.
Guidelines from the BC Centre for Disease Control limits testing to individuals hospitalized or likely to be hospitalized, healthcare workers, residents of long term care facilities, and those part of a cluster.
Individuals are encouraged to check out the BC CDC symptom self-assessment tool to determine if you need to be further assessed.
