Peachland mayor wants people to wear face masks.
If you have it, wear it.
If you don't, get one.
Peachland Mayor Cindy Fortin expressing her concern about the spread of COVID-19, asking you to wear a face mask.
"Would you go into surgery and tell the surgeon don't worry about wear a mask? No, because there is some protection there. We have to do what we can do. Even if its 1 percent affective, that's a good thing".
Fortin, who used to be a nurse, said she has heard from her constituents that they are sick and tired of dealing with the pandemic.
"Until it hits home, people don't really see it affecting them. It's not just in New York or Florida. I have heard now that there are cases in Peachland", Fortin added.
