West Kelowna RCMP are confirming the collision that occurred this morning on Highway 97C approximately 3kms west of Highway 97 was fatal in nature. Investigators have determined a pickup truck travelling westbound with a lone occupant collided with a snow plow while attempting to pass. Road conditions played a significant factor in this collision.
Highway 97C westbound has since reopened.

West Kelowna RCMP are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 97C approximately 3kms west of the Highway 97 turnoff.
Traffic in the westbound lanes toward Vancouver will be delayed for several hours.
Please take alternate routes to avoid the area for the time being until the highway has been reopened.
