Today Kelowna RCMP posted to social media remembering the bravery of Constable Neil Bruce who died on this day (April 14) in 1965 after attempting to rescue a young woman who was being held against her will.
Neil was 26 years old when he gave the ultimate sacrifice.
In his honour the Constable Neil Bruce middle school in West Kelowna was named after him.
