Community shred event in May: RDCO

Join Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers for their 9th annual Community Shred Event. Securely dispose of personal documents and confidential papers to protect against identity theft while supporting community safety. Shredding services will be provided by Okanagan Paper Shredding, ensuring that all materials are safely and thoroughly destroyed.

The shredding begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) parking lot located at 1450 KLO Road and runs until 1 p.m., or whenever the truck fills up.

The suggested donation price is $10 per bankers box of papers, with a maximum of five per household. If you have larger volumes, please contact Okanagan Paper Shredding at [email protected]. Crime Stoppers will issue a tax receipt for donations over $20.

All proceeds help Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers run the program and keep the Central Okanagan safe from fraudulent activities. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about RDCO’s recycling programs and sustainability initiatives. You can learn more about waste and recycling services in your region here.
