City of Penticton looking for committee members

Make a difference in your community by joining a City Committee. The City of Penticton currently has the following vacancies:

• Accessibility Committee – Two (2) vacancies
• Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee – One (1) vacancy

The Accessibility Committee assists in identifying accessibility and inclusion barriers, advises on how to remove and prevent barriers community members experience when interacting with the City, and makes recommendations to Council based on the actions within the City’s Accessibility Plan.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee helps inform City policies and bylaws that affect parks and recreation and gives perspective for Council’s consideration on matters related to new parks, as well as recreation and cultural initiatives or projects that support healthy and active living for all ages and abilities.

If this sounds like something you’re interested in volunteering for, submit an application today. Apply online at penticton.ca/committees or in person at City Hall, 171 Main Street.

Please submit your completed applications on or before May 23, 2025.

For further information or to view the Terms of Reference for a committee, visit penticton.ca/committees.
