Watch for extra foot and bike traffic throughout downtown Penticton starting this Saturday with the return of the Downtown Community Market and the free bike valet service.
The City of Penticton is reminding drivers to anticipate road closures throughout the downtown core each Saturday between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Watch for detour signs and anticipate extra parking congestion.
The Downtown Community Market will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. along 200 Main Street, Front Street and Backstreet Boulevard, every Saturday until Sept. 6, 2025. This market showcases
handcrafted goods, arts, artisan foods, live music and entertainment. It’s hosted by the Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association, with more details available at downtownpenticton.org.
It joins the weekly Penticton Farmers’ Market on Main Street, attracting crowds in the thousands, spanning multiple blocks and showcasing 80+ vendors selling locally grown or created products. For information about the Farmers’ Market, which is located in the 100-block of Main Street and runs until 1 p.m., visit pentictonfarmersmarket.org.
The bike valet service will be available at Gyro Park, operated by the City’s Environmental Outreach Ambassadors. This will be provided free of charge each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Last year, more than 1,870 people used the valet to securely store their bicycles, scooters and skateboards.
