Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, named MP Dan Albas (Okanagan Lake West – South Kelowna) as the new Shadow Minister of Transport.
Mr. Albas brings extensive experience to his new role, having served in a variety of capacities since first being elected in 2011.
A release from the Federal Conservative Party says Albas has championed issues ranging from regulatory reform to small business support. His deep understanding of infrastructure, trade logistics, and transportation systems across Canada makes him exceptionally well-suited to hold the Liberal government accountable on transportation policy.
“I am honoured to take on this important responsibility,” said Dan Albas. “From coast to coast to coast, Canadians are feeling the consequences of neglect in our transportation sector. I look forward to working with industry leaders, stakeholders, and citizens to ensure our transportation systems are built for the future.”
