Shade announces campaign for vacant City Council seat in Penticon

Local entrepreneur and media professional Jordan Shade has officially declared his candidacy in the upcoming 2025 summer by-election for Penticton City Council.

Shade’s slogan is called “Positive Change.”

“I’ve called beautiful Penticton home for the past fifteen years,” says Shade. “Over the last eight years, I’ve attended more than a hundred council meetings and taken part in countless civic events. I believe the time has come to step forward and contribute in a more direct and meaningful way.”

With deep roots in the community and a passion for civic engagement, Shade is known for his practical, down-to-earth approach. His campaign will focus on transparency, community engagement, and forward-thinking strategies to support a thriving future for Penticton. Key priorities include:

  • Community Safety

  • Addressing Homelessness

  • Affordable Housing

  • Supporting Small Businesses

“When elected, I will offer real solutions to address the challenges facing our city,” Shade explains. “I’m dedicated, loyal, and always willing to help others succeed.”

Jordan Shade emphasizes connection and communication with residents as a cornerstone of his campaign.

“I’m approachable and genuinely enjoy meeting people face-to-face. I love engaging in meaningful conversations and listening to the thoughts and ideas of Penticton residents.”

In his announcement, Shade pledged to always put the people of Penticton first:
