It’s that time of year: new public art displays have been installed along Lakeshore Drive and at select locations downtown as Penticton’s Public Sculpture Exhibit program returns.
The City’s Public Sculpture Exhibit program runs annually featuring public art pieces from artists across BC. The 2025-2026 program sees some returning artists along with new ones as the unique creations settle in for their year-long display.
“We look forward to bringing in new installations each season,” said Jeff Plant, manager of recreation, arts and culture for the City. “We encourage everyone to explore this year’s sculptures that celebrate accessible art and keep our public spaces vibrant.”
Winners of the Peoples’ Choice Award for the 2024-2025 exhibit are:
#1: 1760 – Jean E. Ouellon
#2: Don’t Judge Me – Peter Vogelaar
#3: Kakin kw sxwuyax – Les Louis
