The BC Wildfire service now says the grass and structure fire near Mill Creek and Kelowna International Airport is now under control.
It means the fire is not projected to spread beyond the current perimeter.

The Kelowna Fire Department and BC wildfire service are responding to an out of control grass and structure fire near Kelowna International Airport and Mill Creek Regional Park.
The fire was initially reported shortly before 3pm and is now marked at 0.9 hectares in size.
BC wildfire maps show the blaze near Mill Creek and Spencer Road.
An air tanker from the BC Wildfire was called in to assist but later told to stand down as crews on the ground are making good work of the fire.
YLW Director of Operations and Innovation Phillip Elchitz says flights at the airport have not been effected by the still out of control blaze.
