Water service is being restored and should be completed by 4 p.m. to the homes affected by the unplanned water pressure spike earlier today in the Clifton Road and Caldow Street area.
Should your water have any colour or appear cloudy, run taps until water is clear. Water will still meet all the drinking quality requirements unless you are notified otherwise.
Residents are encouraged to:

Check and monitor internal plumbing for signs of damage or leaks. This includes appliances such as hot water tanks.

Monitor for leaks or flooding, especially in basements, at your hot water tanks, and near your water meter when water service resumes.

The City of Kelowna is advising residents in the Clifton Road and Caldow Street area of a water system disruption due to a water pressure spike at the Broadview Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) station.
Earlier today, a failure at the PRV station caused a temporary and substantial spike in water pressure. As a result, homes in this pressure zone will have experienced high water pressure that could possibly damage in-home plumbing and appliances if in-home safeguards are not effective. The affected zone has since been isolated, and water pressure has been reduced. Residents will not have water service while crews assess and repair the issue, which is expected to be completed later today.
There is no active leak at this time. City crews are doing repair work and will provide updates, including timelines for water service restoration, as soon as they are available.
Approximately 300 homes are affected. Residents are encouraged to:

Locate your home’s shut off valve (at the water meter) and keep water shut off until repairs are completed.
