Shape the KVR Trail Strategy: City of Penticton

Stop by one of three pop-up locations on Saturday, June 21 between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to share your thoughts and help shape the future of the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail through Penticton.

The City is developing a KVR Trail Strategy to help shape the future of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail through Penticton. This plan will guide how the trail is improved, celebrated, and better connected to support recreation, transportation, tourism and community well-being.

“As the community grows and trail use increases, it’s important that the KVR Trail evolves to meet current and future needs. With sections that vary significantly in quality and character, there is a clear need to standardize the trail to create a more seamless, accessible, and enjoyable experience for users into the future,” says parks planner Ysabel Contreras. “This strategy will help identify key improvements to infrastructure, accessibility, wayfinding, and amenities, while considering how the trail intersects in the heart of the city and neighbouring communities and will provide an action plan for future investment and stewardship.”

Anyone interested in sharing their ideas, experiences, and observations regarding the trail can visit shapeyourcitypenticton.ca/kvr and complete a feedback form by Sunday, July 20.

Engagement booths will be set up on Saturday, June 21 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Penticton Pump Track
    1194 Poplar Grove Road
  • KVR Trailhead at Vancouver Place
    148 Vancouver Place
  • Downtown Farmers’ Market
    100 Block Main Street
