The Kelowna RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance after responding to reports of an assault.
On Friday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 7:50pm, Kelowna RCMP officers responded to multiple reports of an assault at Mushroom Beach. Witnesses reported a verbal altercation between individuals that escalated into a physical assault, resulting in one person being transported to hospital. Due to the Privacy Act, the extent of the injuries cannot be disclosed.
Investigators are asking anyone who has not yet spoken with police and who may have dash camera footage or video surveillance from Mushroom Beach or the area near the intersection of Lake Avenue and McDougall Street between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, June 13, to contact the RCMP detachment at 250-762-3300 and reference the file number 2025-33325.
