Committee Appointments
Council appointed Ron Crawford to the Accessibility Committee and Mayor Bloomfield as Council liaison. Carla Kildaw, Laura Carleton, Chris Sayles were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.

Sports & Recreation Needs Assessment

2024 Annual Report
Council received the 2024 Annual Report summarizing city operations and financials. Click here to read the Annual Report.

2024 Statement of Financial Information (SOFI)
Council approved the SOFI for 2024. Click here to read the report.

Financial Plan Process Policy
Council rescinded the 2016 policy and approved a new financial planning policy (CP#2025-03).

Long-term Borrowing – Ellis 4 Dam Upgrades
Council approved borrowing $11M for dam upgrades and will request RDOS consent.

2025 Community Survey Results

UBCM 2025 – Minister Meeting Requests
Council received the list of proposed minister meeting requests for UBCM 2025.

Social Housing and Infrastructure Plan (SHIP)
Council endorsed the SHIP and will advocate for federal support for a future housing site near Okanagan College. Click here to read the Plan.

Tenant Protection Bylaw Options
Council directed staff to prepare a bylaw requiring tenant protection plans and to consult with developers and tenant groups.

Driveway Removals
Council directed staff to improve road safety, particularly for vulnerable road users along Martin Street by continuing to investigate and work with owners to enhance safety.

Road Closure Bylaw No. 2025-20
Council gave three readings to the bylaw for a road closure and land exchange with School District 67.

Development Applications

Zoning Amendment & Development Permit – 435 Green Avenue West
Council approved rezoning from RM2 to RM3 and issued a development permit for a 40-unit staff apartment building.

Development Variance & Permit – 172 Green Avenue West
Council deferred this decision to the July 15 Regular Council Meeting.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2025-09
Council adopted the Bylaw for general housekeeping updates.
