According to the City of Kelowna, a section Doyle Avenue will be closed between Water Street and Ellis Street beginning March 30 as work continues on the South Art Walk. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks.
Detours will be in place along Bernard Avenue and Cawston Avenue and there will be access to the Kelowna Community Theatre, Kelowna Memorial Arena and businesses at 460 Doyle Ave.
Street parking in the work zone will be unavailable, along with portions of the City Hall parking lot. While the City Hall exit will be temporarily closed, alternating traffic will guide vehicles in and out of the lot.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted detours and construction signage, and to choose alternate routes when possible.
The South Art Walk is part of a larger series of outdoor spaces intended to support culture and entertainment in the downtown core.
