City of Kelowna says North End portion of Rail Trail to re open to public.

After being closed more than a year ago, the City of Kelowna says it is in the process of re- opening a section of the Rail Trail in the North End.
Upon completion of groundwork and new fencing installation, the stretch of trail will open to the public for the first time since March 2025.
To enable the reopening, the City says it will be adjusting the layout of its designated Temporary Outdoor Sheltering site on Weddell Place. The Temporary Overnight Sheltering space will move across Weddell Place to the City-owned property at 759 Crowley St. The 24-hour sheltering space for those transitioning indoors will move further east along the Rail Trail. The City says fencing will improve privacy for those sheltering and support a safe and comfortable experience for trail users.
