New features of splash park unveiled at Ben Lee Park in Rutland

Ben Lee Park this weekend had a ribbon‑cutting celebration to mark the opening of several new water features at the Waterpark.

The City of Kelowna says the upgrades include an activity tower, splash blasters, a water weaver, a tidal wave and new activator posts. The features are designed for a wide range of ages and abilities, encouraging shared play, movement and imagination.

Water features were turned on for the celebration and will be turned off until the May long weekend, when Ben Lee Waterpark opens for the season.

Mayor Tom Dyas and Councillor Ron Cannan cut the ribbon on the updated waterpark at Ben Lee Park as kids wait to test out the new features.
