73 new rental units for seniors in Peachland

Peachland opened 73 rental units for older residents, including 15 fully accessible suites.

The new seniors’ housing complex is part of a bigger plan to increase affordable housing options in the Okanagan. There are over 2,700 homes delivered or underway in the region.

An approximate $11.6‑million grant from BC Housing through the Community Housing Fund is partly behind the development, operated by the Peachland Seniors’ Support Society on municipally leased land.
B.C. officials said the new units are aimed at helping seniors remain in their communities with access to supports, while maintaining independence.
Christine Boyle, Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs, said “Many seniors are struggling to find housing they can afford, which is why these new homes in Peachland matter.”
The one- and two-bedroom units, alongside shared indoor and outdoor amenities, are designed to support social connection and well-being.
The five-storey building at 4444 5th St., known as The Residences on 5th, welcomed its first residents in late March 2026.
