Sixth drowning on Okanagan Lake confirmed after earlier incident

A man believed to have been drowning has died after being pulled from the water at Hot Sands Beach earlier this week.

Kelowna RCMP and BCEHS paramedics were called to Hot Sands Beach in City Park at about noon Wednesday following a report of a possible drowning.

Paramedics attempted CPR, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

This marks the sixth confirmed drowning on Okanagan Lake this year.
