The K51402 wildfire (known as the Quilpituk Creek wildfire) evacuation order has expanded to include properties in Caesars Landing, which was previously on evacuation alert. The evacuation order now covers 2,223 properties in the area.
The following addresses are now included:
- 5455 and 5495 Deighton Road
- 5000 Westside Road North
- Caesars Landing
- Bald Range Road
Residents can confirm whether their properties are affected by using the interactive map here.
Meanwhile, an evacuation alert has been issued to properties in the Shelter Cove, Secret Point and Cinnabar Creek area.
The evacuation route is south on Westside Road. Residents on evacuation order should leave their properties immediately and are asked to follow instructions of emergency personnel and traffic control in the area.
BC Wildfire Service says no structures are immediately threatened.
