She was the first to declare she would be seeking the Mayor’s Chair in Kelowna this October . Now Emily Salsbury is the first to drop out of the race. It was back in April Salbury announced her intentions to take a run at the city’s top job but Wednesday she told AM 1150 News that she has decided not proceed and instead focus on her business.
“I was in the process of selling my business to make that possible, but ultimately decided not to proceed with the sale” stated Salsbury , adding she would become involved in the community in other ways.
The only other declared candidates for the Mayor role in Kelowna is incumbent Tom Dyas and Councillor Ron Cannan . The civic election is set for Oct 17th
