The Kelowna Rockets lost 6-1 in preseason action to the Penticton Vees in a very physical game.
The Vees scored twice in the first period with goals from Giorgos Pantelas and Parker Deraney, while the Rockets got their only goal of the game from Dawson Gerwing. The Vees added a pair in the second as Tristan Petersen and Peter Banicevic both scored to give the Vees a 4-1 lead after the second. The Vees added insult to injury with two more goals in the third with Pantelas scoring his second of the game and Gavin Katz making it a 6-1 final.
Both teams will be back in action Saturday for the preseason finale in Kelowna.
