The City of West Kelowna announced improvements are set to begin on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at the racket sport courts in Anders Park and Shannon Lake.
Improvements will be made to the eight courts at Anders Park. The racket sport area in Shannon Lake will be converted into one tennis court and three pickleball courts.
The City says $995,000 will be spent to install new fencing, nets, resurfacing and line painting as well as new asphalt. Accessibility and drainage improvements will also be made to the areas. $845,000 will be used for the Anders Park courts and $150,000 for the Shannon Lake courts.
The City says work on the courts should be completed by mid-November 2026.
