West Kelowna RCMP officers assisted Vernon Mounties in locating a stolen pickup truck yesterday afternoon.
Vernon RCMP say the white Ford F150 was stolen in Red Deer, Alberta last Thursday and spotted in Vernon at 11:20am on Tuesday. When an officer approached the truck, the driver sped away from the area, almost striking the officer and driving through a stop sign in the process.
Police were able to track the movements of the truck to Westside Road because of numerous complaints received from the public regarding the dangerous driving of the truck.
West Kelowna RCMP was called to assist, which located the truck parked on a side street off Westside Road and arrested two suspects nearby.
The 36-year-old male driver and 32-year-old female passenger face numerous charges.
