The 25th annual CIBC Run for the Cure is October 6th.
There is something special planned for the Kelowna run this year.
"We will have a photo booth with special frames just for this event," says Volunteer Run Director Dina Albricht. "We are looking to find participants and volunteers from the past that will provided us with pictures that they took in the past 25 years. We are planning on having a photo wall for that."
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian women and the Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.
"We want to celebrate those who have survived the cancer," adds Albricht. "And we want to be together with those who are still battling cancer or carry the breast cancer gene."
The Kelowna run takes place in City Park.
