On Day 3 of the Liberals' pre-election campaigning in Kelowna, more details have come out about plans to add funding to the local school board.
Last month's provincial budget included $53 million in funding for 223 school projects across BC, with the Central Okanagan Board pulling in $3.8 million of that.
Lake Country's George Elliott Secondary school is getting $1.5 million dollars to upgrade its plumbing lines.
As well, the district will get $1.2 million for nine new school buses, and $1.1 millionĀ for new classroom equipment, like textbooks and art supplies.
